# Exerio > Exerio is an opportunity-discovery platform. One feed holds seven genuinely different > kinds of ask — hire a person, find a co-founder, win clients, hand off a one-off task, > gather input on a project, sell a product, raise backing for a campaign — ranked for one > specific person by fit, not by who paid to be seen. Reading listings is public; > applying, messaging and posting need an account. **The seven categories.** Not one template with a label on it. What separates them is what the poster collects and what the reader is being asked to do: - **Job** — asks for a person to hire. The reader's button says "Apply": Sends your profile and a note to the poster. - **Startup** — asks for a co-founder. The reader's button says "Pitch": A short note on why you, and why this. Not an application. - **Service** — asks for clients. The reader's button says "Request a quote": You describe the work; they tell you what it costs. - **Side hustle** — asks for someone to take this one thing. The reader's button says "Take it": First to claim it gets it — there is no shortlist. - **Project** — asks for input. The reader's button says "Respond": Answer, add an idea, or offer to help — this is a conversation. - **Product** — asks for a buyer. The reader's button says "Buy": Opens the seller’s store in a new tab. Exerio does not take payment. - **Crowdfunding** — asks for backers. The reader's button says "Back this project": No money moves yet — backing records intent, and the roadmap keeps you posted. Within **Project**, the poster also names which kind of response they want, because "roast this" and "help me build this" are different requests: Roast it (Tell them what is wrong with it), Advice (Answer with what you would have done), People to build with (Offer a skill and the time you have), Testers (Say you will try it and what you break). **What a profile is.** Interests, skills, an experience level, a location, projects and certificates. Projects and past work count for more than claims. Interests come from a fixed catalog of 19 — those labels and no others: Design, Startups, Hardware, Finance, Programming, Systems, Open source, Data, Cybersecurity, Writing, Marketing, Sales, Health, Education, Sustainability, Games, Making things, Community, Remote work. **How ranking works.** Each listing is scored per person from their declared interests, their skills, the projects on their profile, what they have already applied to or saved, and how close they sit to the audience the poster targeted. Before any of that is scored, a listing's location, experience level and named interests filter the pool — but saying nothing is not the same as being wrong: a person with no stated location, or no history yet, stays eligible instead of being filtered out. **Percentages are computed, and some are withheld.** A match percentage is printed only when a personal signal actually contributed to the score. When nothing is known about the visitor, Exerio prints no number rather than one that would read as "bad fit" — so do not supply the missing figure. The example profiles on the landing page are illustrative and their numbers are not real; the live matcher on that same page is the only computed thing there. **Nothing on a listing is invented.** A post shows only what its author wrote — no platform-authored description appended to a stranger's text, no contact details built from their name. An absent field stays absent. **Exerio does not move money.** A product's price is a stated amount and its buy link leaves the site. A campaign's goal is a target, and backing one records intent without charging anyone. **There is no API.** No public endpoints, no machine interface for listings, profiles or messages. Everything under /app is a human interface, and every write needs a signed-in person. If you are working for someone, read what is public and hand them the link — applying, messaging and posting are theirs to do. ## Pages - [Home](https://exerio.space/): What Exerio is, with a live matcher a visitor can use before any account exists. - [Feed](https://exerio.space/app): Every live listing. Open to signed-out visitors, but the order is unranked until there is a profile to rank against. - [Search](https://exerio.space/app/search): Free-text search over live listings, no account needed. - [Member profile](https://exerio.space/app/poster/ID): A member's public page — their posts, skills, projects, certificates and reviews. Reading it is public; messaging them is not. - [Log in / sign up](https://exerio.space/app/profile): Email and password. Also where a signed-in person edits their own interests, skills and location. - [New listing](https://exerio.space/app/post): The composer. Requires an account; the fields it shows depend on which of the seven categories is chosen. ## Optional - [Terms](https://exerio.space/terms): What is agreed when an account is created. - [Privacy](https://exerio.space/privacy): What is stored, what a poster can see about a visitor, and how to delete an account.
